Melrose Gardeners are Preparing for Spring

Melrose students are not only learning about the transition from fall to winter, but are preparing for spring! Mr. Burns supplied several varieties of spring-flowering bulbs and the Melrose gardeners have been busy planting 350 soon to be flowers. The 3rd grade class developed their muscles planting in the back of the school. Mrs. Santangelo’s PK Science classes learned about tulips and the Pre-K 4 and Kindergarteners planted those. The 1st and 2nd grade classes beautified the areas outside their classrooms and the library. The children in the After School program made sure the small playground area would be colorful next spring. We look forward to seeing these bulbs grow the bloom like the children who planted them.
