Summer Camps at Melrose - Soccer Camp Starts Next Week
Red Knight Soccer Camps
The Red Knight Soccer Camp is structured to provide daily technical skill work with a one player/one ball theme. Small group tactical work — passing, dribbling, defending, possession, and shooting – will be focused on daily.
This camp is open to all boys and girls entering grades 2 – 8. The cost is $150.00 for one week and $250.00 for two weeks. The Red Knight Soccer camp will be held Monday thru Thursday, August 24 – 27 and August 31 thru September 3 from 9:00am to noon. Fridays will be rain dates. Andy Powell’s School of Rock
Founding member of Wishbone Ash, Andy Powell will be hosting a two week Rock Camp for students entering grades 6 – 8. This is a two week camp designed to orient budding rock musicians to the world of rock music including guitar, base guitar, keyboarding, drums, vocals, and the technology of rock bands.
The cost for this program is $250.00 per week. Camp sessions are M-F, 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Sessions are the weeks of June 29th and July 13th. Spaces are available for the week of July 13th. For registration information, please contact the school at (845) 279-2406.
Basketball Camp
Bret Nichols, motivational speaker and professional basketball player is offering the You Gotta Believe Basketball Camp at Melrose. The camp will provide development of basketball fundamentals and competitive games; dail contests, prizes and YGB give-aways for each camper; award ceremony on the final day of camp. Each week is offered for boys and girls entering grades 3 – 8. Camp will be held on August 3 – 7 from 8:00am – noon. The cost is $125.00 prior to July 27th and $140.00 after.
