Students Honored by Lions Club
The Lions Club International’s Patterson branch sought entries from the art Department at Melrose for their annual international poster contest. Our 7th and 8th grade students took part illustrating this year’s theme “Peace Around the World”. Two Melrose students placed in the local competition. The $75.00 First Prize went to Clara Zander and a $25.00 Honorable Mention went to Sophia Ortiz, both 7th graders. The winning illustration will now go on to the national level of competition.
