Camp Melrose 2011 Information Letter
Greetings! We are looking forward to spending this time of discovery, exploration, and excitement with your child. We would like to take this opportunity to familiarize you with our camp program and provide you with some information that should make your child’s camp experience a special one.
Camp Schedule:
* Camp begins on Monday, June 13th and ends on Friday, July 8th
* Our day camp (Pre-K 3 – Kindergarten) schedule is from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Specialty camps (Grades 1-3 or Grades 4-6) are either 9:00-11:30 am (morning session) or 12:30-3:00 pm (afternoon)
* Day camp children will be exposed to a variety of activities throughout the day including Reading, Drama, Activity (PE) and Arts and Crafts
- Specialty camp students will attend the session of their choice
2011 Camp Tuition (weekly rates):
- Full Day Camp: $300.00 for 5 full days; $225.00 for 3 full days
- Half Day Camp: $200.00 for 5 half days
- Specialty Camp: $200.00 per session (am or pm) for 5 half days
Camp Check-In & Drop-Off:
* Please be advised that morning check-in and afternoon drop-off will be located in the front parking lot only. This will ensure that we are able to properly keep track of your child.
Extended Hours:
* For those parents who need longer hours, we offer Before Care, beginning at 8:00 am, and After Care until 5:00 pm
* There is an additional fee of $10.00 an hour, per child
* Please inform the Camp Director at least one day in advance if you are interested.
* Payment can be made daily, by need, or weekly.
* Please provide your child an extra snack and drink, should he/she be attending After Care
Things to Bring: Please label all items!
* Medical Forms – especially if not already on file at school. If needed, please contact Camp Director.)
* Sneakers or closed toe shoes
* Sunscreen – plus, please apply to your child prior to arrival
* Sweatshirt or light jacket
* Bagged lunch (will be refrigerated daily)
* Due to many food allergies, please also include a morning snack
* Bottled water
* Small backpack to carry all items
* Smock (for arts and crafts)
* A change of clothing
* If attending half-day sessions, no lunch is needed; but please still bring in a snack.
Typical Camp Day
All of the children and teachers will begin and end every day together in the Library. Every child will attend each “class” every day and yet there will still be plenty of time for good, old-fashioned fun! Most, if not all, of our teachers will be familiar to them (and to you).

Payment, in full, is due on your child’s first day of camp. We look forward to seeing and meeting you and your child(ren).
